Under construction...

Not much interesting information about 1000 Mexicans other than the fact that it is an English group originally made up of Julian Griffin, Michael Harding and Andrew Hobday.

Group which will remain mainly in the musical history of the end of the 20th century for the high caliber Single “Under construction” which will be released in 1984.

For this reason alone we had to dedicate this article to them.

1983...from the first title we don't know what to think of the group : potential, no potential, good question. Only the future will be able to answer it...

1984...well, for the moment, we're more experimental and rough. The group will have to structure all this and quickly, that's clear...

1984...it is obvious that their music is aimed exclusively at an audience of initiates for the moment. Not really the best path to break through to the highest level...

1984...on certain titles we even border on caricature. Having fun is good but making songs audible is even better...

1984...one of the rare titles that is almost acceptable. So when they want, they can possibly make titles that hold water...

1984...there is a slight improvement since 2 titles but not sure that this will be lasting because with them everything can change from one title to another...

1984...we fall back into the experimental and the obscure. A global strategy that is disconcerting to say the least and which will have seriously hampered their development...

1985...what is certain however is that they perfectly reflect this musical excess typical of the 80s. Anything and everything...

1985...at least there was something for everyone and everyone had a chance to produce the music they wanted. Ah what a beautiful time...

1985...because today this kind of group would never see the light of day, fortunately or unfortunately, everyone will have their own opinion...

1993...they are going to release some new releases at the start of the 90s and we really wonder why some have not been officially released...

1993...we are not talking about lost treasures but it is clear that some would have deserved to take the place of others officially released...

2015...we thought the matter was definitively over and here they are again in an unexpected way, to say the least, in this decade of 2010. Who would have thought it possible...
