Toad The Wet Sprocket is an American band formed in Santa Barbara in 1986 and originally composed of Glen Philipps, then only 15 years old, as well as Todd Nichols, Dean Dinning and Randy Guss, the other 3 members being 19 years old.
A band with a completely absurd name which would in truth be a reference to a Monty Python sketch called Rock Notes, a sketch where a journalist delivers a musical report that is also totally absurd...
A first album “Bread & Circus” was released in 1988, an album that would go somewhat unnoticed unfortunately except for the title “One Little Girl”, a title that would give the band a nice first critical success a year later in 1989.
The album “Pale” which would be released the following year in 1990 would not do much better than its predecessor and would barely escape thanks to the title “Come Back Down”.
On the other hand, the following album "Fear", which was released in 1991, would have a much more favorable fate to the point of offering the group the biggest success of its entire Singles discography with the huge title "All I want".
Success confirmed three years later with the release of the album "Dulcinea", an album that would offer the group two new notable successes with the titles "Fall down" and "Something's always wrong".
Paradoxically, the album "Coil" which would be released in 1997 would remain as their highest ranked album of all but would not manage to produce a hit worthy of the name.
A poor performance from which the group would not recover and which would end up breaking up shortly after.
Which would not prevent it from being reborn almost 2 decades later.

1989...a first title that shows right away that this young group has everything it takes to do great things. Now it remains to be confirmed...
1989...there is quality in all this, it must be said. We cannot believe for a single second that the group did not achieve its first success quickly...

2021...so we lose sight of them for almost 6 years but here they are again anyway. A new return that necessarily delights the basic fans to the highest degree...
2021...but at first glance, only them can see that the group has produced a new opus. After that, it still makes for a substantial fan base...
2021...so last title or not ? Given the fate of this very last opus, not sure that the group will take the risk of trying the adventure again. Unless...
