Pierre Bachelet was a French composer and singer whose particularity was to be a graduate of the National School of Photography and Cinematography.

He started his professional career at the end of the 60s in the world of advertising, made some documentaries, advertising music and especially film music.

Its true beginnings in the musical career date from 1973 with the creation of the group "Resonance". Adventure without a future but which will still produce the high-caliber title “OK Chicago”.

It was in 1974 that things would suddenly accelerate with the release of his first Single "Emmanuelle", a title that would allow him to go from shadow to light in a sensational way to say the least. A title that we will find on the soundtrack of the film of the same name, an erotic thread that will deeply mark the spirits and ignite France in the mid-1970s.

In 1975 released his first album "L’Atlantique" with modest success.

It will have to wait five years and the year 1980 before being propelled to the front of the stage thanks to the now cult “Elle est d'ailleurs”, extracted from the album of the same name, and which will sell for 1, 5 million copies.

In 1982 he did it again with the album "Les corons" from which the Single of the same name would be extracted and which will stay in history as his major Single.

1983 saw the release of the much more modestly successful album "Découvrir l'Amérique".

Followed in 1985 by "Marionnetiste" and "En l'an 2001" which will allow him to find his way back to success.

His last notable successes will be the album "Vingt ans" in 1987 from which is extracted the Single of the same name.

As well as the album "Quelque part...c'est toujours ailleurs" both certified Platinum Disc.

Other albums will come out later but will never have the same level of success.

And the adventure will end definitively with the disappearance of the artist in 2005 following a lung cancer, artist with multiple talents and who will have left an indelible and very popular imprint in the hearts of the French.

1973... the beginnings in grouped mode. All in a group that won't make history any more than that but will still produce THIS title of more than certain quality...

1974...a sequel that will not really experience the same level of success but which will at least allow the young Pierre to learn his skills as they say...

1974...the song that will reveal him and change his destiny forever... A cult soundtrack for a cult film, a film that will set the whole of France on fire that year...

1974...a film that will make at least 2 happy in the business, him and the main actress of the film Sylvia Kristel. Who will see their respective personality damn highlighted...

1975 ... he signed the music for the 2 most famous erotic films to date in France. Mighty references !

1975 ... a very nice duo of 2 almost-unknowns who will literally 'explode' in the years that follow ...

1976... the adventure in grouped mode continues in parallel. She won't give anything more than before, but she will at least have had the merit of launching the singer...

1976...we have to start one day as they say and at least this adventure will have served that purpose. A year 1976 which will be the last for the group...

1978...impossible to get through the Disco phenomenon. His personal version which, on the other hand, will go through somewhat 'through'.....

1979 ... surely one of the most famous soundtracks of all time on the French side. A completely offbeat musical masterpiece for a cult film ! HU-GE !

1980 ... the WONDER ! Surely one of the most beautiful songs of the decade ! Or even at the end of the 20th century on the French side. A HUGE hit that will raise him One Shot to star status...

1982 ... and what about that one. He reoffended two years later with a title of almost the same caliber. What talent !

1982 ... his most beautiful hymn in homage to the villages of miners and also his biggest success. This song makes him enter definitively in the musical legend of the 80s. HU-GE !

1983 ... a new ballad of very large caliber of which he has the secret. A softness area that he particularly likes...

1983 ... in the same vein. Past master in the field to play on the very sensitive register of emotions ...

1983...with him nothing is complicated and everything is fluid, light and airy. Certainly sometimes a little too simplistic but of a formidable efficiency in any case !

1984...new very large caliber soundtrack. Also past Master in the matter even if this one will be far from equaling the level of success reached by 'Emmanuelle'...

1985... popular song, made by a popular artist who understood perfectly that there is also room for this kind of register with the public...

1985 ... undoubtedly one of his most beautiful artistic years with a 2nd HUGE hit which will surely remain as one of his most emblematic...

1985... very simple melodies but with a formidable efficiency so why make it complicated. When the inspiration is there, the melody is all the more effective...

1987 ... the years go by and inspiration follows its own little way freely, without constraint or brake !

1987...and it continues. And it's not over, far from it ! He still has some left under the pedal and it is clear that he surely does not intend to stop in such a good way...

1988...excellent work as usual but with him the opposite would be most surprising. Everything is fluid and inspired, what more could you ask for...

1989 ... a little mystical parenthesis in the form of a tribute to one of the biggest historical figures of the end of the 20th century...

1989 ... when 2 stars of the moment cross paths for a song, the result is necessarily up to par. HU-GE !

1989 ... the last success of an exceptional decade concerning him and which will have seen him express the best of himself...

1991 ... the decades change but the style does not change. Simple songs that hit home every time...

1992...we're not going to lie to each other, the best years are now behind him. But what he continues to offer is far from unworthy, that's clear...

1992 ... in any case he still has things to offer and especially to sing. And it's not the basic fans who will complain about it, that's for sure...

1992...even if the inspiration is there, it is clear that his style and sound no longer really correspond to the musical era he is going through...

1995...with each new title, you say to yourself that it may be the last and each time he comes back faithful to his position. A desire to believe in it to the end which undoubtedly commands respect...

1995...he's been there for 20 years already, which is something. Unquestionably one of the most gifted artists of his generation, hence this longevity...

1995... what also makes its strength is that he manages to go through the ages without ever really going out of fashion. All thanks to a style that is never top trend but never has been either...

1998...he makes it a point of honor to come back again and again. And as long as he produces quality opuses, we can only encourage him to do so...

1998...and there's quality in all that. He crosses eras and decades quietly thanks to a level of inspiration that hardly weakens. A real feat...

1998...as the title of his album says, he's 'a simple man'. A simple man who simply makes simple music...

1998...now remains to be seen whether he will still have the courage to return next decade. But knowing him, we don't doubt it for a second...

2001...as expected, he's back at his job ! He will go all the way and whether there is success or not, the main thing for him is to simply continue to enjoy what he does...

2001...and he continues to take it otherwise he would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. A pleasure he has shared with his fans for decades and decades...

2001...contrary this time to what the title of the song says, it will not be his last ballad. Because we may see him again later...

2003...we've been comparing them physically for a long time and here they are virtually reunited through this opus of luxury covers...

2003...revisited versions with more than certain quality even if they won't bring much more than the originals. Anyway, we'll be happy with that...

2003...it was obvious that this virtual fusion between the 2 artists would happen one day or another. It is now done...

2008...three years after his death, here comes a posthumous opus which will contain only unreleased material. We take, we take !
