Tesla is an American group formed in 1981 first under the name 'City Kidd' by Brian Wheat and Frank Hannon. Who will be joined from 1984 by Jeff Keith, Tommy Skeoch and Troy Luccketta. The name Tesla is actually a reference to the inventor and electrical engineer Nikola Tesla.

Group which released a first album “Mechanical resonance” two years later in 1986, an album which gave them their first entry success thanks to the high-caliber Single “Little Suzi”.

Success confirmed and above all largely amplified three years later in 1989 with the release of the album “The great radio controversy”. Album which will offer them their biggest success of their entire album discography and above all global recognition worthy of the greatest, notably thanks to the enormous title “Love song”.

Their biggest Singles success came at the start of the following decade with the title “Signs”, a title taken in 1991 from their live album “Five man acoustical jam”, an album released a year earlier in 1990.

A year 1991 which will also see the release of the album “Psychotic supper”, an album which confirms the status of the group as a phenomenon of the moment with no less than 5 hits taken from the album. Including “What you give” which will remain as the highest ranked title of the five.

We found them again in 1994 with the album “Bust a nut”, an album with once again a certain success and which mainly produced the flagship Single “Mam’s fool”.

Major success which will be the last despite the subsequent release of other albums and other Singles.

1987...a first title which ideally positions the group on the American music scene with a first success which necessarily bodes well for the rest of the events...

1987...we find them in luxury cover mode on their second title with this revisited version of the Ph.D. title dating from 1981. Much punchier cover than the original but a winning cover in any case...

1988...they will only produce one title during this year 1988 but the dynamic of success is now well in place. Minor success on this one but success all the same...

1989...the end of the decade which allows them to confirm their status as a sure bet of the moment. In just 3 years they will have managed to make a 'name' for themselves, a real...

1989...of course their fame is limited exclusively to the USA for the moment but that's already it as they say. Many groups would be satisfied with it in any case...

1989...a year 1989 which ended in the best possible way with this first top hit. We suspected that this would happen at one point or another...

1990...new single-title year to start the new decade quietly. Afterwards, as long as success follows, the essential is preserved...

1991...they like it when things hit hard but they are far from being ridiculous in the 'emotional' department, that's clear. The proof once again !

1991...it's a new luxury cover which will bring them their biggest success with this revisited version of the Five Man Electrical Band title dating from 1971. Biggest success and above all their one and only global success on the Singles side...

1991...certainly they reached the high point of their career with the previous title but it is clear that the adventure is far, very far from being over...

1991...a year 1991 which will undoubtedly remain as their best vintage. There will have been quantity and quality, what more could you ask for !

1992...the year 1992 will be a slight notch below but nothing worrying at this stage concerning them. They still have quality titles to offer, it is clear...

1992...the group continues to unroll quietly without asking too many questions and takes maximum advantage of the most positive aspiration effect generated the previous year...

1992...they will have produced almost as many 'emotional' titles as much more punchy titles. A group with more than proven versatility...

1994...new opus and new major success. A great adventure that continues and above all allows the group to continue to believe in it...

1994...given the level of success of this new opus on a global level, they would be really wrong not to believe in what they are doing, that's clear...

1995...certainly the Singles are classified a notch lower but they continue to be classified in the Rock Charts. That's at least that...

1995...unfortunately all the best things come to an end and it's this title that will announce the end of the ball, a little less than 10 years after their debut...

2004...while we thought that the previous title was their last, here they are back 9 years later in an unexpected way to say the least...

2004...a return which inevitably delights the core fans to the highest degree and which above all shows that in music nothing is ever finished...

2004...it now remains to be seen whether this return will be lasting or not because 9 years of absence do not necessarily herald only good news...

2007...certainly the level of productivity of the group has seriously declined in recent years but they still produce a minimum...

2008...the proof with this new opus which clearly proves that the group is not quite at the end of its adventure...

2008...this title will not be classified but frankly would have deserved to be, that's for sure. It goes to show that quality is always essential for them...

2013...we will lose sight of them for almost 5 years but here they are again. A desire to believe in it until the end which undoubtedly commands respect...

2014...they produce on average 2 albums per decade. Here comes the first who proves once again that they still have something under their belt...

2014...new opus which will be classified like the others. Certainly only in the United States but this de facto shows that the base of basic fans remains constant there...

2014...they've been here for almost 20 years and they have absolutely no plans to throw in the towel at this stage, it's clear...

2019...as promised, here is the 2nd opus of the decade. A regularity in the production of albums which reassures us to the highest degree that the group still has things to offer and above all to sing...

2019...only the album will be classified again. No Single taken from this new opus will appear in the Charts, just like all those released during this decade...

2019...after as long as the albums continue to enjoy a minimum of favor with the public there is still a certain interest in continuing the adventure a little further...

2022...they are starting their 5th decade of career here, which is no small thing. Especially since they will find more and more former colleagues who have also decided to return at the start of the 2020 decade...

2022...most are the age of grandfathers but they really impress with their youthful spirit which remains almost intact...

2023...they will revisit here the Aerosmith title dating from 1974 and show at the same time that they have lost none of their legendary enthusiasm. There is therefore a risk that there will surely be a sequel to the adventure...
